I will be overseas from 3 to 4 Oct.
All orders will be rushed to be completed and mailed by Fri.
Otherwise, it will be mailed out on Tues.
I seek your understanding and so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Mid autumn festival and away for a short trip

Its Mid Autumn this Sat and I will be away for a short trip during the weekend to Malaysia.  I am quite looking forward to it.  After all, I hardly get to travel anywhere since I have given birth.  Maybe let little sugar get expose to fireworks, if any, and see the excitement (or fear?) on her face.  :-)
This is my first time receiving a box of mooncake and its from TWG Tea Salon. Best part is, the chocolate mooncake tastes fantastic!!!  I am using all my willpower not to go near the mooncakes but I have very low determination   hehe

See this fabric?  I bought this a long time ago and I am going to make a dress or skirt for little sugar to wear during this mid autumn.  Cant wait to see her dress in this Oriental inspired wear and carrying her Kitty lantern!

Burst into laughter

Finally managed to coax little girl to sleep at 10.30pm.  She refused to sleep in her cot and only managed to doze off on our bed.  Anything.  As long as she sleeps.
I happily joined my husband to watch TV and enjoyed the herbal chicken soup in the living room.
15mins later, our bedroom door began to open bit by bit.  Suddenly, there she is peeping out from behind the door and then standing there waving Hi to us and beaming with her million dollar smile.  My hubby was stunned and gasped.  While I burst into laughter and laughed at everything.
Seeing that I didnt scold her, it gave her the confidence to walk over and snuggle between us.
My little angel.  So mischievous. So sweet.

A heartwarming blog

Just want to share this wonderful blog that I have been reading these few days.  Reading her blog is very soothing and I can relate to many of the posts that she wrote. Her writings on Adelaide, reminds me on the importance of marking down every step that my little girl is going through now.

My girl's little lunch bag

When I first bought the Zojirushi food jar, it also comes along a meal bag.  But I didnt like the color at all.  So dull.  :-|
I tried putting her lunch jar into the wetbag along with her bottles and wipes.  Sometimes, its just not workable.  If the bag is too big, the lunch jar will be swaying left to right. That irritates me a lot especially when I am hanging the wetbag on my stroller.
I wanted something that can fit the container just right and looks cute at the same time.  It would be best if the interior is waterproof so that any food remains will not taint the external.
With that, my little lunch bag is born and I have never look back since!
It would never have been featured until a customer who requested to take a look at it.

As every food container is different, it would be difficult to come out with a universal size for all.  Thus, I am trying out now to sew based on customizations.  Just go with the flow first...

Winnie the Pooh wetbag

I simple love the contrasting colors in this fabric!
What a lovely wetbag!

Upon a customer request, here is a wetbag design in which the velcro was replaced by zip for the pocket design.

Pad holder

A customer have requested for a pouch for her feminine items.  She gave me an idea and I modified it slightly.  I was quite skeptical and afraid that it may turn out too big or bulky.  In fact, it turned out better then expected.  :-)

Minky minky

So soft. So in love.
My girl loves it and kept touching it.  Seeing how much she likes it, I am thinking to make a blanket for her.  Even my hubby requests for it too! Thats how irresistable the minky is!!  hehe
Look at how many colors I bought!

I think I bought way too much and this is a very bad habit of mine.  Buy without thinking.  Then think of how and where to store it.

If you would like to have a customize item using the minky fabric, do let me know.  This makes a great children gift!  Just drop me a mail to contactsugarlicious@gmail.com .

Tissue Pouch

Special order by a customer to have this new series of Hello Kitty fabric to be made into a tissue pouch.

Little girl's shorts

Was repacking my fabrics the other day and saw this Kitty fabric only remaining a small yardage.  Made this for fun and added some ribbons for that extra cuteness   :-p

It was quite simple to sew and yet the end product is simply endearing!

Cant wait to dress little sugar in it!

How do I stand out?

Was MSN-ing with an old pal last night and being a new mummy, she too loves to shop at the BP section of SMH too.  She saw my listing and asked me how do I make my listing stand out almost then 60 other sellers?
Frankly, I cant.
Competition is stiff.
How do you strike a balance between profit, labour hours and material costs?

Blogging @ Starbucks

My first time surfing net and blogging at Starbucks!
Its a v. refreshing experience and real fun to be blogging with the passer bys walking past.  However, the song blasting from the speaker is damn irritating!

Toddler shoes

I must said that this is a very addictive shopping item.  I cant seem to stop looking at those cute little shoes.  My top record was buying 5 pairs of the same size with different designs.  Now, there are all being grown out and I have to buy new ones.
Such a waste!
Some pairs are only worn once!

Hence, I promise my wallet that I will show some restraint from now onwards.

Sept holidays!

It's the holidays now! I miss being in school and looking forward to the semester break (minus the tests). Every time that the holidays are over, I secretly hoped that the school was being burned down in a huge fire and we will have more holidays!! Thinking back, that was really evil of me. *grin*
